Draggin' my arse around

I was in T.O this week for the handshake tour and some training for work. Left the house at 5AM Monday. Long day. Tuesday school till 5Pm went to SOX/Jays game with Jay enjoyed a few $10 beers and watched Dice K make his Canadian debut. Much easier to see the Sox here than at Fenway. More training Wednesday, race to the airport trying and bump up flight. No dice. Broken plane, no plane, no crew and then finally home in the door at 3AM. Up at 6AM out the door for news conference downtown. Visit office for more coffee. Off to Stellarton for three meetings. Done. Return to office. Commence headache. Go downtown for industry event (free beer and bad appetizers) come home to tuck in the little people. Time for bed. Draggin' mt arse yes but lovin' what I do too though...

One off my list

As many of you know I love an adventure. I've enjoyed many road trips to date. There are a ton of them floating around me head as well. A lot of places aren't where you might think. Was it your dream to go to Cleveland? Likely not. For me it was to get to the rock n roll hall of fame. Had it been summer I would have added a trip to the "Jake" to see the Red Sox pound the Indians.
So as you can see, they aren't all exotic places. I'm hoping to get to Tennessee in the next few years for a race at Bristol (toughest ticket in NASCAR) and to roam the state. Memphis for the bar-b-q, to cross the Mississippi, Sun Studios, Beale Street and Graceland. Lynchburg to visit the Jack Daniels Distillery and Nashville because I'm a country fan but not that Tim & Faith crap. Old school country. It's well known I'm a big Johnny Cash fan. After watching "Walk the Line" I had it in my head that I'd go to Hendersonville to visit his lake house. The house in the movie was his actual house. The Cash lakefront property was visited by U.S. presidents and fans. The home was nearly 14,000 square feet and had seven bedrooms and five bathrooms. It was bought by on the Gibb brothers. Sadly it burnt to the ground last week. I think it was GOD's way of saying no to disco. To me it's a special place knocked off my list before I could get there. Do you have a list? Why not ?

Settling In...

Hey there. Long time no talk. Seems I no longer hide in my basement exclusively. I started my new gig this week and so far so good. I'm pretty jazzed honestly. Sure it's the honeymoon period but I think it'll be okay. Last weekend was a busy/hardcore one that's for sure. Lots of laughs Friday night at Cariboudoudelet. Unfortunately I didn't hav time to pick up my tea biscuits and shine before leaving Pictou county. Next time for sure. The Easter bunny made his way around during the blizzard so all was good I guess.

The last personality profile test for a while

I got a link on www.facebook.com (have you gotten on to this yet?) so I thought I'd try this
http://web.tickle.com/personality

Rob, you're aPolitician!
You're forceful, innovative, and popular with the masses. You aggressively pursue your goals, and you enjoy impressing people.
You've always been surrounded by friends and loved ones and have a natural sense of showmanship.
You're perfect for any work that requires personal interaction and you never say anything that offends anyone — at least to their face.

Apparently that's just the top of the surface....

No more of these tests for a bit. Time to actually do some work and today that means finishing up the 15 home reno projects I did while I was off. Yes I know it'll take more than a day to finish.

First Time Sex

A girl asks her boyfriend to come over Friday night to meet, and have dinner with her parents.
Since this is such a big event, the girl announces to her boyfriend that after dinner, she would like to go out and make love for the first time .

The boy is ecstatic, but he has never had sex before, so he takes a trip to the pharmacist to
get some condoms. He tells the pharmacist it's his first time and the pharmacist helps the boy for about an hour. He tells the boy everything there is to know about
condoms and sex. At the register, the pharmacist asks the boy how many condoms he'd like to buy, a 3-pack, 10-pack, or family pack. The boy insists on the family pack because he
thinks he will be rather busy, it being his first time and all.

That night, the boy shows up at the girl's parents house and meets his girlfriend at the door. "Oh, I'm so excited for you to meet my parents, come on in!" The boy goes inside and is taken to the dinner table where the girl's parents are seated. The boy quickly offers to say grace and bows his head. A minute passes, and the boy is still deep in prayer, with his head down. 10 minutes pass, and still no movement from the boy.

Finally, after 20 minutes with his head down, the girlfriend leans over and whispers to the boyfriend, "I had no idea you were this religious."

The boy turns, and whispers back, "I had no idea your father was a pharmacist."

Today it's Martinsville

NASCAR's travelling circus rolls to Martinsville this week. Sigh! I was there in October, best race trip ever. It's also April Fools day, the Q had a spot on the radio reminding folks about the time change "Double double daylight savings time" funny stuff. Apologies to those who I caught off guard with the good luck chain email. May have worked, should be an announcement from me tomorrow stay tuned....
